Mount Stewart House & Gardens is just minutes away and well worth a visit. Enjoy breath taking views of the lough from Scrabo Tower(Newtownards) or visit the unspoilt village of Kearney (National Trust).  Take the ferry from Portaferry to Strangford where you can visit Castleward and the Mourne Mountains.

Nearby we have long stretches of beautiful sandy beaches at Ballywalter and Millisle which are perfect for walking.  The Ards area has many beautiful walks and is a great cycle route.

Belfast, Bangor, Portaferry, Donaghadee,  and Newtownards are just a short drive away.

Ards Sailing Club, Kirkistown Race Circuit and Kirkistown and Blackwood Golf Courses are nearby.

The Green Chilli Indian (Bangor) - Best ever Indian food and the staff are so friendly. It's bring your own wine! We could eat here every night.

Pier 36 Restaurant & Bar (Donaghadee) - Just opposite the lighthouse this is such a great restaurant with good food and atmosphere.

Pebbles (Greyabbey) - Great for a coffee or lunch when browsing the Greyabbey antique shops. 

Salt Water Brigg (Kircubbin) - Looking onto Strangford Lough, foods good and entertainment in the bar at weekend.

Finnigans Bar (Kircubbin) - Recently renovated & good pub food

Fiddlers Green (Portaferry) - Great Pub & Irish music at weekends.  Everyone is made so welcome! 20 minutes drive but worth it!!!

The Mermaid Pub (Kircubbin) - Only a few minutes drive from us but many of our guests have absolutely loved it.  This is the friendliest bar and the owner Aiden will make you so welcome!

Knotts Coffee Shop (Newtownards) - Excellent home made food - the apple pie & cream is heaven!
